‘Weekend Warriors’ push optic to the limit with impressive results

Sightmark’s flagship riflescope, the Presidio 3-18x50 MR2, proved its merit in the most recent Rokslide test by the Weekend Warriors. The Rokslide test subjects optics to the most rigorous tests to prove functionality and durability in the most extreme environments.

During the testing process, the Presidio 3-18x50 MR2 was mounted on a CZ 600 Alpha chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor and was subjected to a series of trials. The ammunition used was AAC Sabre Blade Black Tip 6.5 Creedmoor BTHP 140-Grain, and all shooting was conducted at 100 yards. The following tests were conducted:

1. Turret Adjustment Test - The elevation and windage turrets were spun for a total of 100 mils each back and forth then returned them to zero before shooting a target to determine if the scope could return to zero.

2. Tracking Test - Two fresh appropriately sized targets were placed 10 mils apart, vertically aligned. Ten shots were fired at the bottom target. Accuracy was maintained throughout, and the elevation turret was adjusted up and down each time a shot was fired to determine the effectiveness of the scope's tracking.

3. Drop Test - To simulate real-world use conditions, the rifle was dropped from ranges of 18 inches to 36 inches and picked up again to check for accuracy. The Presidio 3-18x50 MR2 passed this test with flying colors, demonstrating its reliability and resilience.

The Presidio 3-18x50 MR2 riflescope exceeded expectations during these challenging tests. The scope returned to its zero setting after being spun 100 mils in each direction. It also demonstrated exceptional tracking accuracy, maintaining point of impact even after multiple adjustments. Furthermore, the scope passed the drop test without any loss of zero or damage to the optics.
