Las Vegas, Nevada — Athlon Optics drew an audience of spectators during their presentation of $20,000 and $5,000 in optics to the grand prize winner of the Athlon Shooting Sports Giveback program.

Announced at SHOT Show 2023, Athlon aims to introduce new shooters to experience the camaraderie of the shooting sports industry. Athlon Optics gave back to the shooting sports community through the Athlon Shooting Sports Giveback during 2022. This program provided competitive shooters from all disciplines a chance at $65,000 in combined cash and prize package payouts. Seasoned shooters and novice shooters alike are encouraged to participate in their shooting communities, locally, regionally, or nationally.

During 2022, competitive shooters logged events they had competed in either locally, regionally, or nationally. On December 31st, 2022, Athlon Optics random selected one lucky individual for the grand prize drawing.

Dirk Verhoeff, a competitive shooter had completed a local monthly match in Georgia in October. Unbeknownst to him, this match would earn him the grand prize payout and an all-expense paid trip with Athlon Optics to SHOT SHOW.

Athlon Optics is continuing their Athlon Shooting Sports Giveback program in 2023. This year, new shooters and die-hard competitors alike have twice as many chances to win prizes and a grand prize cash out.
