Digital Marketing/Social Media Manager

We have an immediate opening for a Digital Marketing/Social Media Manager. This is an exempt, salaried, grade 11 position with a salary range of $71,500 - $107,300. The Digital Marketing/Social Media Manager will be responsible for helping to set and maintain the strategic direction for all Smith & Wesson, M&P, Performance Center, and Thompson/Center social media programs, created as a part of the overall Smith & Wesson Marketing, PR and Communications platform. This position will oversee, monitor, administer, curate and post all content on Smith & Wesson's social forums. This position also has primary responsibility for the design, content and leadership of the Smith & Wesson, Thompson/Center and Waltheramerica websites.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Leading the Smith & Wesson social media and digital marketing initiatives.
Enhancing and maintaining the websites for Smith & Wesson, Thompson/Center and Waltheramerica brands.
Establishing and coordinating the strategy to be best in class in Digital Marketing as part of our overall Marketing strategy.
Daily monitoring, management and engagement presence in social networking sites, engaging with customers on Smith & Wesson and T/C brand social sites, posting on relevant blogs and seeding content into social applications as needed.
Promotion of all Marketing, PR, and Communications projects and activations through social media.
Creation of seasonal and monthly editorial calendars, monthly campaigns and promotional plans.
Collaborate with customer service, product, and business departments to actively manage all social media communications and profile updates.
Lead coordination on work planning schedule and rollout of key PR tactics, Brand, and Team activities by month specifically for social media.
Leveraging any and all education opportunities to learn best practices and developments in the social sphere from any and all partners and sharing this info with internal teams.
Seeking out new online opportunities for Smith & Wesson brands, presenting breakthrough ideas and working with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Working closely with the web creative team and brand marketing team to improve social integration.
Establish measurements and use the right tools to track share of voice, reputation and sentiment, analyze and deliver key insights than can be used for strategic planning.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Journalism or Communications.
Candidate must have 6+ years of digital and social media/marketing experience. Prefer social experience to be primary focus of current scope of responsibilities with skew toward consumer brands.
Proven and substantive track record in formulating and driving marketing communications through digital engines targeting multiple audiences, as well as successful social media campaigns that resulted in tangible business results.
Deep understanding of digital marketing and digital production. Proven experience delivering effective and innovative digital campaigns.
Superior knowledge of social media, blogging, photo sharing, video sharing tools, platforms and applications.
Familiarity with one or more enterprise listening and engagement platforms (Radian6, Sysomos, CoTweet, Spredfast, Involver/Webtrends)
Strong understanding of SEO and how it is affected by social; familiarity with the latest web development technologies and best practices is a bonus.
Must have excellent interpersonal and writing skills, with the ability to communicate and engage with users online.
Outstanding results as leader in a high-performing consumer goods business is a prerequisite; prior experience in outdoor goods industry preferred; Intimate awareness of the firearms market strongly desired.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; Ability to travel.

Brand Manager - Accessories

We have an immediate opening for a Brand Manager - Accessories. This is an exempt, salaried, grade 11 position with a salary range of $71,500 - $107,300.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads the Marketing lifecycle process for designated brand(s).
Functions as the information hub for designated brand(s).
Manages day-to-day progress of product marketing planning and execution.
Analyze market, consumer, and competitive information to support new product pricing and managing price on existing items
Analyze consumer trends and information, and categories to help identify product categories to enter as future sources of growth
Maintains brand integrity across product lines, advertising, and all other internal and external communication as it pertains to assigned brand.
Participate in key sales and marketing presentations as necessary.
Assist with financial projections and budgeting process.
Manage budgets and financial related to marketing campaigns.
Reviews channel and customer-specific point-of-purchase trade plans and provides feedback on consistency with marketing plan
Analyzes consumer, category, competition, and channel/customer as part of a situation assessment.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Demand Planner

We have an immediate opening for a Demand Planner. This is an exempt, salaried, grade 10 position with a salary range of $61,400 - $92,200.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and maintain a rolling 18 month demand plan for key categories across multiple business units
Execute daily, weekly, period annual and ad-hoc demand planning to drive positive business impact
Set and deliver against Channel performance targets to ensure aggregate performance is achieved
Work proactively with Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain personnel to avoid order shortages and excess inventory
Monitor business unit promotions, events and market conditions to ensure accurate demand plans
Develop, monitor and communicate reports on forecast accuracy to Business Unit and Supply Chain while driving continuous improvement
Partner with Supply Plan team to proactively identify issues with upcoming forecast changes, drive innovation, S&OP and capacity discussions
Partner with Finance, Sales, Customer Service, and Supply Chain to ensure sustainability of forecast and demand planning organizational capability
Monitor performance and communicate to stakeholders the business unit performance, drivers and action to be taken

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree required; concentration in supply chain, logistics, finance or business administration is preferred
3-5 years experience in demand management, planning scheduling or other supply chain focus is required
Prior S&OP responsibilities required
Knowledge of forecasting processes and demand analysis methodology is required
Demonstrated knowledge of forecasting technology or ERP systems is required

Channel Marketing Manager


RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conceptualize develop & implement multi-faceted programs and promotions, aligned with key sales, marketing and brand initiatives.
Ensure programs are aligned with strategic priorities of the business while developing on overall corporate objectives.
Deliver highly disciplined and organized approach to project management, often within tight timeframes. Coordinate with sales management, brand and marketing communications, product management as well as finance and other departments.
Work with sales, marketing communications, product management other departments and 3rd party resources to execute timely, effective and actionable communications to achieve desired results for all channels.
Work with product management team to help drive product launch process and ensure channel deliverables are met as directed.
Develop metrics for all promotions and launch plans, communicate to all necessary stakeholders, track and report results for post analysis.
Assist in preparation and presentation of annual CM budget for all brand and product programs/promotions.
Interface with operations department on S&OP planning - provide projected "lift" and timeline for specific programs that will influence production run rates.
Assist with coordination of promotional material development as defined in annual marketing/business plan and as directed by management team.
Monitor and report regularly on competitive promotional activity within all channels to affect developing or currently running programs.
Manage transfer of authorized FFL database to official company URL to assure proper dealer listings.
Coordinate domestic training for retail associates 3.5 and DSM led Armorer certification, including maintenance of all contact files to ensure accurate communication, confirmation of scheduling, processing of support materials, dealer tracking and dashboard reporting.
Understand and leverage "best practices" in development, execution and assessment of all CM activities.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
BS in Marketing or Management required; MBA preferred
Minimum of 6 years experience in sales and/or marketing - preference within sporting/hard goods industry
Self-starting team player with a keen eye for the details - consistency of reporting and financial accuracy
Proven success in developing and managing targeted sales and marketing programs/activities
High level of organizational skills, follow-through and strong attention to detail
