Hot Shots Begins New Second Season With New Network

Hot Shots - the documentary style reality series that offers behind-the-scenes access to three of the best shooters in the world as they prepare for and compete in the most prestigious events in shooting - will premiere its second season Dec. 31 at 8:30 ET/PT on Sportsman Channel, with online retailer Cheaper Than Dirt signing on as presenting sponsor. In addition to CTD, the series' list of prestigious sponsors currently includes Colt, Mossberg, Daniel Defense, and NRA Sports.

Hot Shots Presented By Cheaper Than Dirt! stars The Louisiana Legend, Jerry Miculek, who's widely considered the greatest all-around shooter in history; world champion Max Michel, a 6-time USPSA national champion and three-time World Speed Shooting champion; and 3-Gun champion Clint Upchurch, the only pro shooter sponsored by iconic firearms manufacturer Colt.

The series was created by multiple Emmy winning producer Brian Speciale, who says the season's first episode is one not to be missed. "Jerry Miculek is trying for his 20th straight International Revolver Championship, which is a big deal to him," Speciale said. "Well, he had a firing pin break on his very first run. Couldn't fire a single shot. Just like that, his match could be over. We're all looking at each other like 'is this happening?' You can't make this stuff up, and it's the perfect example of what Hot Shots is all about: real drama."

Hot Shots Presented By Cheaper Than Dirt is produced by Creative Fuel Media of Franklin, Tenn., and will air three times per week on Sportsman Channel starting Dec. 31: Mondays at 8:30 & 11:30 p.m. ET, and Wednesdays at 4 p.m. ET.
