Big Wins for Team RangeLog at the 2013 IDPA Carolina Cup

Oxford,NC - Over 350 shooters competed, June 13th-15th, in one of IDPA's largest and most prestigious events, the 2013 Carolina Cup. This match is considered a National Level match and is held in the same esteem as the IDPA National Championship and the S&W Indoor National Championship.

Team RangeLog's Morgan Allen had an impressive performance over 16 courses of fire and was awarded the Enhanced Service Pistol (ESP) Division Title with a time of 207.98, besting his next closest competitor by over 10-seconds.

Regarding the match, Morgan said "The match was nothing short of a traditional Carolina Cup IDPA Championship and reminds competitors why it's one of the top 3 matches in the sport. Deceptively simple yet with challenges including ample non-threat targets placed strategically, the design of the match enabled competitors to determine the correct pace with which to either succeed, or prevent them from performing at the level to achieve their goals. Training programs and systems from companies like ITI and Rangelog, and products like those from Safariland were certainly put to the test. I would like to give thanks to my sponsors for helping make the matches possible, including RangeLog, Team ITI, Rainier Ballistics, Safariland, Abernathy Gun Works, and others. "

Team RangeLog's team member, Colleen Vaccaro, a junior lady shooter, had a great showing as well. Colleen recently advanced to the rank of SSP Master, a distinction very few ladies currently hold, came home with the High Junior title. Colleen continues to improve as a shooter and her performances at several major matches this year are proving she is definitely one of THE junior shooters to watch over the next few years.

When asked about the match, Colleen responded "This match contained stages that required the shooters to control their speed. Long and tight shots were placed directly before or after close targets which favored the shooter that stayed in control during the entire match. Products and services from great companies like RangeLog, XX2i, Safariland, and others helped give me the necessary confidence in my training and equipment that allowed me to shoot well."
