Browning Makes Donation to Midway USA Foundation Shooting Teams

Columbia, MO - Browning, a continued supporter of youth shooting sports, presented Larry and Brenda Potterfield with a donation of $49,315.00 at the 2015 SHOT Show. This donation to the MidwayUSA Foundation will benefit shooting teams that have an active Team Endowment Account with the Foundation and specifically, those that participated in The Browning Incentive program.

The Browning Incentive rewarded the three teams that conducted the most successful Browning Silver Sporting shotgun promotion, another fundraiser opportunity offered by the MidwayUSA Foundation. Along with earning funds through the promotion, The Browning Incentive will add $16,439 to the Centerburg Youth Shooting Sports, Centerburg, Ohio, Team Endowment Account. Wyoming State 4-H Foundation, Laramie, Wyoming, and Creighton Preparatory School, Omaha, Nebraska, will each receive $16,438 in endowment funds from this Browning donation.

Rob Kinsella, Centerburg Youth Shooting Sports secretary said, "Centerburg Youth Shooting Sports would like to thank Browning for its seemingly endless support. Because of Browning's reputation and quality firearms, raising funds was very easy. Their donations of various rifles and shotguns has not only helped us become financially solvent but many other youth organizations too."

The MidwayUSA Foundation is a public charity, founded by Larry and Brenda Potterfield, working to sustain the shooting sports industry by providing permanent funding to youth shooting teams. Currently, the Foundation supports nearly 3,000 shooting teams and they can grow their Team Endowment Account through soliciting private donations, earnings, and conducting fundraisers. Each year, they can apply to draw up to 5% of their account balance to use for team expenses, such as ammunition, range fees, targets, uniforms, travel and more.
