Lapua Celebrates Match Success Nationwide

Members of Team Lapua recently participated in a variety of competitions all across the country with great success.

Team Lapua's Cathy Winstead-Severin captured the 2015 Conard Bernhardt Cup in Pe Ell, WA. Winning the aggregate of the hunter rifle and standard rifle in small bore silhouette. This prestigious match feature an abundance of Master level shooters competing over two days. Winstead-Severin was using Lapua Midas+ ammunition for smallbore. Cathy is a national accomplished silhouette shooter, seven time World Champion, and owner of Good Shooting, a sport shooting supplier(www.goodshooting.com).

Meanwhile, in Phoenix, AZ, Erik Cortina won the Southwest Regional Mid-Range F-Class Championship. Erik followed up his win in Phoenix with a victory in Texas State Rifle Association Long Range State Championship.

New to Team Lapua in 2015, Stephen Culpepper is quickly making his mark at matches in the southeast. Culpepper was impressive in three matches already this year. At the Creedmoor Cup held at Camp Butner, NC, he captured 3rd Overall, 1st Civilian to follow up on his win at the Orange Blossom High Power Regional. Showing his versatility, Stephen capture the Hunter Rifle title at the 2015 Sunshine Classic SB Silhouette Championship.

For the 4th year in a row, Team Lapua's Jeff Lindblom reigns as the Missouri Regional High Power Champion. Lindblom beat out Greg Meredith to capture the title at Bucksnort in Marshall Missouri. Lindblom uses VV N140 powder and Lapua .223 Rem cases and 77 gr. OTM Scenar bullets.

In smallbore prone competitions, Nancy Tompkins took advantage of the Arizona weather to compete in five matches in which she finished in the top 4 in all. Nancy's success so far in 2015 include:
2015 Western Wildcat – 4th Overall
2015 Diamondback Regional Smallbore Championships – 2nd Overall
2015 AZ State Smallbore – 2nd Overall
2015 March Madness Smallbore – 1st Place
2015 Blackwidow Metric Championship – 1st Place

Once the snow melted in Ohio, Team Lapua's Kevin Nevius broke out his highpower gear and won his first match of the season. Nevius used Lapua .308 Winchester Palma cases powered by Vihtavuori N140 powder to push his Lapua 155 gr. OTM Scenar-L bullets in winning the NRA Regional Fullbore at Malvern. Nevius is a member of the 2015 USA Palma Team that will be competing in the World Long Range Championships at Camp Perry in August. Additionally, Nevius is the 2014 Smallbore Prone Rifle Champion!!
