Turnbull Winchester 1892 with Color Case Finish

Turnbull Restoration Co. is proud to announce the release of a new Winchester Model 1892 lever rifle with Turnbull's unique color case finish. These are new rifles in either .44 Remington Magnum or .45 Colt.

"The Winchester 1892 is one of those historically significant firearms that every enthusiast and collector knows," said CEO and Founder Doug Turnbull. "Some of these have been passed from generation to generation within American families. We're proud to take this amazing rifle and make it into an instant family heirloom to be passed along."

The 1892 rifles will be available in either .44 Magnum with a pistol grip or .45 Colt with a straight grip. Every rifle has a twenty inch octagonal barrel and factory checkered stocks. The wood has been Turnbull refinished in a hand rubbed oil that gives it Winchester's signature red shade. Each has the tang safety conversion installed to restore these new production rifles to the original 1892 specification.

The receiver, lever, hammer, butt plate and forend cap are finished in Turnbull's unique color case hardening using the traditional methods. All blued parts retain the Winchester original factory bluing. The rifles carry an MSRP of $2500 and are available through Turnbull Restoration.

"We are real sticklers for historical accuracy here at Turnbull," said Turnbull of the 1892. "So when we started, we knew we had to restore the safety to the original tang configuration to remain true to ourselves and this piece of firearm history. So we did."

All the 1892 rifles are tested, fully functional and available now. For information, availability and ordering, customers should visit www.turnbullrestoration.com/winchester1892.

"We are all collectors here and we will continue to take new production of historic guns and make them collectible," added Turnbull. "Our love of firearms and firearm history is in every gun we ship – new or restored."
