MIDWAYUSA Foundation Looks to Raise $100,000 ON #GIVINGTUESDAY

Columbia, MO – As the giving season approaches, the MidwayUSA Foundation is making big plans to join the #GivingTuesday movement and help youth shooting teams raise $100,000; collectively. Every dollar raised on #GivingTuesday will benefit a shooting team in their Team Endowment Program. Each team has their own earmarked account to which supporters can donate. Those dollars will also be matched, 2:1, thanks to the generosity of Larry and Brenda Potterfield. To assist teams in their fundraising efforts, the MidwayUSA Foundation has created a downloadable Team Toolkit.

A global day of giving, #GivingTuesday occurs on November 28 after Black Friday and Cyber Monday. A movement just five years old, the day is seeing growth every year. "We know many organizations will ask for support on November 28, but we think our 2:1 match and the ability for donors to choose the team that receives their contribution makes us unique and a great choice on #GivingTuesday," said Randy Moeller; Executive Director of the MidwayUSA Foundation. Another advantage donors have when giving to the MidwayUSA Foundation is that 100% of their gift and the match goes to their favorite team. The Foundation keeps nothing for operations, unlike many charities.

Over 3,400 youth shooting teams of all disciplines have a Team Endowment with the MidwayUSA Foundation and donors can search for a team on the Foundation website (midwayusafoundation.org/donate). Once they have found their team's page, donors click 'Donate Now' and proceed with their tax-deductible donation through a safe and secure online donation form. Donors will receive a tax receipt.

The MidwayUSA Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity working to sustain the shooting sports industry by providing long-term funding to youth shooting teams. Every donation made is 100% tax deductible and supports the mission to help communities and organizations raise funds to support their youth shooting team. The Foundation supports all shooting disciplines.
