Ruger Donates P90 Pistol to Benefit SASP

Ruger Firearms has generously donated a blued manual safety model, .45 ACP, P90™ pistol to benefit the Scholastic Action Shooting Program (SASP).

The pistol is being auctioned on Gunbroker.com now through February 28, 12:30 PM eastern time.

Ruger® first introduced the blued manual safety model, .45 ACP, P90™ pistol in 1998. The serial number of this P90™ is 661-84178 and the testfire date is January 13, 1999. This pistol has never been fired beyond normal testing during manufacture. The manual safety model P90™ is made of hard-coated A356T6 aircraft quality aluminum alloy, chrome-molybdenum steel, and 6123 Xenoy resin grip panels. It features manual ambidextrous safety levers; a 4-1/2 inch barrel and high-visibility white-dot inserts on both the front and rear sights. The square notch rear sight is drift-adjustable for windage. Other features include an oversized trigger guard and full-time ambidextrous magazine latch. The P90™ Pistol will be shipped in a gray plastic lockable case along with two 7-shot magazines, magazine loading tool, original instruction manual and original marketing materials. The pistol is being sold “as is,” and the purchaser assumes all liability for its safe and proper ownership, storage, use, and resale. Please note that the winning bidder of this auction is responsible for paying the Federal Excise Tax. The pistol is a part of the Ruger factory collection in Southport, Connecticut, and a Certificate of Authenticity will be mailed to the winner of the auction.

The Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation (SSSF) is 501(c)(3) public charity responsible for all aspects of the Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) and Scholastic Action Shooting Program (SASP) across the United States. SCTP and SASP are youth development programs in which adult coaches and other volunteers use shooting sports to teach and to demonstrate sportsmanship, responsibility, honesty, ethics, integrity, teamwork, and other positive life skills. SCTP was developed as a program of the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) until the SSSF was created in 2007 to operate the SCTP. In 2012, SSSF created the SASP and became the managing foundation of both programs.
