Redding Dies for Military Surplus Cartridges

Cortland, NY….. Its fall and many of the military surplus issues are coming out from major publications highlighting this years crop of great mil-surp firearms. That makes it a perfect time to remember that many of these guns can be excellent shooters if you have the ammunition you need. Redding has long been a major supplier of dies for a wide variety of mil-surp cartridges that can keep these firearms fed and fun.

Moreover , Redding had a broad selection of case forming dies and sets that can allow you to actually make cases for hard to find Military Surplus chamberings from common brass.

Form dies are available for a number of popular and not so popular cartridges associated with the military surplus market.

A list of the more common cartridges, are in the Redding 2019 catalog and even more can are available by calling the Redding Customer Service Dept. at 607-753-3331. Also too, remember that Redding still produces true Custom Dies for most any unique chambering.

The Custom Die Order Process:

To receive a custom die price quote, send your chamber reamer drawing, including all dimensions and the shoulder angle and do not forget to include clear instructions as to exactly what your needs are, i.e. dies to form the case, full length die set, neck sizing dies only, etc.

As an alternative, you can simply send three (3) fired cases from your chamber for examination on our optical comparator. Package them carefully to prevent damage in transit, your fired cases will be returned upon request. Because of the nature of work involved in making custom dies, advance payment is required with the order. Please allow a minimum of 16 weeks for delivery after your order has been received.

Some cartridges with a very unique design and/or unusual shoulder angle may require a tooling and engineering charge to partially cover our expense for making up special tooling. In the event such costs are required, they will be quoted separately.
