NSSF celebrates the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's announcement that nearly $1.3 billion is being delivered to state conservation and wildlife programs, with $804.8 million sourced from firearm and ammunition excise taxes paid by manufacturers under the Pittman-Robertson Wildlife Restoration Act.

Silencer Central announces their collaboration with Outdoor Stewards of Conservation Foundation (OSCF) and South Dakota Game, Fish & Parks to recognize the significant contributions made by hunters and targets shooters, as well as industry manufacturers that support wildlife conservation efforts across the country through the Pittman-Robertson Act.

Nearly 1,200 acres of vital elk winter range in northern New Mexico is now permanently protected and opened to public access. The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation worked with the Bureau of Land Management and three families to make it happen.

The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and its partners awarded $7,256,274 of grant funding in Wyoming to enhance wildlife habitat, scientific research and hunting opportunities. RMEF directly granted $340,471 and leveraged an additional $6,915,803 in partner funding.

Thanks to the conservation action taken by a family that appreciates the wildlife values of its land, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation closed its fourth land protection project in Wyoming so far this year.

A 10-mile stretch of critical elk and riparian habitat highlighted by Wyoming’s scenic Grand Canyon of the Black Hills is now permanently protected. The accomplishment represents a collaborative effort between landowners, Wyoming Office of State Lands and Investments (OSLI) and State Forestry, and conservation organizations including the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.

The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), Wyoming Wildlife and Natural Resource Trust and Wyoming Governor’s Big Game License Coalition collaborated with private landowners to permanently protect 2,091 acres of vital habitat and ranchland in southern Wyoming.

Last moth, the Lake County, IN Parks & Recreation Department acquired and added 96 acres to its Deep River County Park in Ross Township, and the Porter County, IN Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America purchased a 40-acre farm near Michigan City for inclusion in its Frame Little Calumet Conservation Area.

Reacting to egregious, alleged violations in hunting ethics and laws, Tanzanian wildlife officials have revoked all hunting licenses and concessions for Green Mile Safari Co. The Dallas Safari Club (DSC) had urged the crackdown and is praising the move as a strong step for hunting and conservation.

The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation has helped conserve more than 2 million acres in and around the 50 counties that reign as America's best areas for trophy mule deer. Average production of record-class muleys across these counties has trended upward since RMEF launched in 1984-and the counties showing the greatest improvements are those where RMEF has helped protect and steward the greatest amounts of habitat.
