Karen Miles won the Main Lady Championship and FITASC HOA title, while Diane Sorantino secured multiple veteran championships across disciplines.
Dustin Flint of Team Berger won the 2026 Louisiana Grand Aggregate Smallbore & Air Rifle Silhouette Championship in Gonzales, securing his eighth state title with a 174/200 aggregate score and defeating junior champion William Harris in shoot-offs across both disciplines.
Elite F-Class competitors gathered at the NRA Whittington Center in Raton, New Mexico for the 2026 Vihtavuori V2 Finale. James Crofts won the F-T/R division while Noah Burleson claimed the F-Open title in this invitation-only long-range championship.
Team Leapers achieved over 12 first place victories at the 2026 CMP Eastern Games Regional Championship using Integrix riflescopes. Notable winners included Nick Till, Roy Mitchell who set a new Eastern Games record at 600 yards, and Conrad Young. Erich Mietenkorte of Team Lapua made history at the 2026 Conard Bernhardt Silhouette Championship, becoming the first shooter to earn the prestigious Super Slam Award developed by the Bull River Shooters Association. Mietenkorte placed third in Master class and achieved the distinction by hitting 15 consecutive targets in both Standard and Hunting rifle categories.
Team Remington's Brandon Powell won his third consecutive NSCA Northeast Regional Main Event Championship at M&M Hunting Preserve in Pennsville, New Jersey, defeating 828 competitors. Teammate Braxton Oliver also claimed top prize in the B&P Preliminary, while Turner Parcell won the 20-gauge event and Michael Luongo finished runner-up in the 28-gauge competition.
The USA College Clay Target League completed its spring season with 626 athletes from 66 colleges and universities competing in trap, skeet, and sporting clays. Justin Jerome from Alfred State College won Top Overall and Top Male honors, while Jordan Lewis from St. Cloud Technical and Community College earned Top Female. The fall season begins in September with the national championship in October.
The MidwayUSA Foundation's 5th Annual Day of Clays in Minnesota raised over $225,000 for youth shooting teams, with 350 athletes competing at Rice Creek Hunting & Recreation on May 2nd. Reed's Family Outdoor Outfitters sponsored the event, which benefited 42 youth shooting teams through the Foundation's donation-matching program funded by Larry and Brenda Potterfield.
Team Ruger's Gordon Carrell and Randi Rogers won top honors at the 2026 Texas State Open Championship in Orchard, Texas, competing with Ruger RXM pistols. Carrell secured first place overall in the Production division with a score of 259.01, while Rogers earned first place in the Carry Optics unclassified category and second High Lady.

Two-time Olympian Derrick Mein won a silver medal at the ISSF World Cup Shotgun event in Almaty, Kazakhstan, competing for Team Federal. Mein finished second in the Men's Trap final on May 9 at Asanov Shooting Club, with a Turkish competitor setting a world record to claim gold. The Kansas native teamed with Ava-Elizabeth Downs in the Mixed Trap event.
SHIELD Sights highlights competition results from the EHC Warm Up Cup 2026 in Hungary, with SHIELD-equipped shooters securing multiple podium finishes including 1st place finishes by Bartosz Szczesny in Optics Division and Miroslav Zapletal in Production Optics Division, ahead of the European Handgun Championships in June.

Sheaffer Stanfill of Team Remington shot a perfect 500x500 to win the 30th annual Krieghoff Masters Championship at Forest City Gun Club in Savannah, Georgia. Stanfill's teammates Alessandro Vitale, Connor Thigpen, and Clay Baldwin also earned podium finishes, with Team Remington sweeping the Men's Doubles competition.
Team Remington's Todd Hitch won the Mississippi State Sporting Clay Championships Main Event at Providence Hill in Jackson, defeating teammate Brandon Powell by three targets. Powell captured two event titles including the Super Sport and True Pair events. The championship drew 354 competitors from April 29-May 3, 2026.
Hornady shooter Lauryl Akenhead achieved the highest performance by any female competitor in NRL Hunter history at the Spears Mountain Safari match, securing Top Lady honors and tying for high score overall using Hornady 6.5 Creedmoor 140 gr. Match ammo.

Justin Powell of Papillion-La Vista South won the 56th Cornhusker Trap Shoot on May 2 in Doniphan, Nebraska, breaking 146 of 150 targets. Defending champion Kahne Packer of Wilber 5 Clovers 4-H finished second at 145, while Addison Ridley of Blue River 4-H won the ladies' overall title with 141.
