The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation awarded nearly $40,000 in grants to USA Clay Target League programs across 28 states, with an additional grant supporting students at the USAHSCTL National Championship in Mason, Michigan. RMEF President Kyle Weaver stated the grants align with the organization's mission to promote hunting heritage and conserve wildlife habitat. USA Clay Target League President John Nelson emphasized the grants' importance in keeping participation costs affordable for athletes, parents, schools, and teams.

The League serves over 55,000 participants across nearly 2,000 high schools and colleges nationwide.

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is now accepting applications for Shooting Range Improvement Grants. Approximately $400,000 in funding is available. Application deadline is Feb. 1, 2026.

The NRA Foundation announced a $250,000 grant to USA Shooting to support the organization’s national team programs. This investment will help strengthen athlete development, enhance training resources, and ensure America’s top competitive shooters have the tools they need to excel on the world stage.

Idaho Fish and Game enhances recreational shooting ranges through its Shooting Range Development Grant program to assist organizations or agencies to establish, upgrade, expand, or otherwise improve public firearms and archery ranges in Idaho. Applications for grants are due Nov. 3, and can be found on the Shooting Range Development Grant Application webpage.

MidwayUSA Foundation announces the distribution of more than $14.2 million in cash grants to support youth shooting sports in 2025. This record-breaking year includes multiple programs offered by the Foundation, including coach training, range development, organizational, and team grants.

The NRA Foundation announces that 2026 grant applications will open on August 4, 2025. Since its inception in 1990, The NRA Foundation has awarded over $509 million in support of more than 65,000 grants to eligible nonprofit organizations across the nation. 

The National Rifle Association of America announced the Grand Scholarship winners from the 2024 Youth Education Summit — a group of exceptional students selected for their leadership, initiative, and dedication to advancing NRA programs within their communities.

In 2025, the Bunker Club awarded 22 grants to the next generation of rising junior athletes through its annual Bunker Club Endowment Grant. Each awardee received $6,363 to support critical needs, such as entry fees, travel for matches, gun support, competition gear, and ammunition, resources critical for athletes working to reach the next level in their development.

These grants provide critical funding and equipment to organizations that strengthen communities, promote safe firearm use, and cultivate the next generation of sportsmen and women.

Every year, DSC funds projects and initiatives in support of its mission of Conservation, Education and Advocacy through the DSC Grant program. This year’s grant submission deadline is July 1, for the initial round of grants.

The National Rifle Association of America announced the reopening of the NRA's Public Range Fund. Established in 2009, the NRA Public Range Fund is a grant-matching program that encourages city and county governments, along with state or federal agencies, to work with the NRA to build and improve public ranges across the United States.

NSSF® has opened the application period for the 2025 Hunting Heritage Trust Grants that offer a total of $100,000 in support for programs that work to expand participation in hunting and the shooting sports.

MidwayUSA Foundation endowment holders can now apply for Coach Training and/or Range Development grant funds. Each of these grant cycles opened on February 1 and are meant to fulfill the specific needs of the industry.

Local clubs or communities interested in receiving a grant to update or improve their existing shooting range must have the application in no later than Oct. 1.

The department expects to award more than $500,000 in 2025. 

The NRA Foundation announced a unique funding opportunity for organizations in Washington State. They are inviting non-profits and other eligible organizations to apply for grant funding that supports impactful projects related to shooting sports. Grant applications open in early August for the 2025 grant cycle.

Organizations and communities are encouraged to apply for grants to support developing and expanding public rifle, handgun, shotgun, or archery ranges through the Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Shooting Range Grant program.
