Position Overview: The ideal candidate for the Engineering Manager position will have a minimum of 10 years of practical manufacturing engineering experience, with a strong emphasis on CNC machining and product assembly. The successful applicant will demonstrate a proven ability to lead engineering teams, develop and optimize processes, and ensure compliance with all relevant government, OSHA, customer, and company requirements.

Key Responsibilities: The Engineering Manager will report directly to the CEO and will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including:

• Compliance: Maintain engineering document libraries and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
• Technology & Standardization: Develop and implement engineering design standards, process improvements, and a technology roadmap focused on automation and lean manufacturing.
• Engineering Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Product Cost Optimization: Drive cost reductions through standardization and simplification of components and processes.
• Continuous Improvement: Achieve 6-sigma process control, implement mistake-proofing techniques, and streamline manufacturing processes.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• Experience: At least 10 years of experience in CNC machining and product assembly, with a strong background in metal removal.
• Skills: Leadership, CAD/CAM proficiency, expertise in live tooling lathe, 4 and 5-axis milling, and a solid understanding of manufacturing methods and procedures.
