Dr. Bob's Wild Diaries Premieres Fridays on Outdoor Channel

If you can fly there in a Super Cub, or some other bush plane, well-known Alaska fishing guide Bob Ledda will get you there! Don't miss "Dr. Bob's Wild Diaries," premiering on Friday nights at 8:30 p.m. ET on Outdoor Channel.

Robert Ledda first fell in love with Alaska's amazing Kenai Peninsula back in 1986, when he spent the summer before medical school working for a commercial salmon fishing operation. During that stay, he and his father and a good friend had a fly-in trip to remote Crescent Lake, and it proved to be the wilderness fishing experience of a lifetime. He knew he had to get back to the Kenai. Years later, after finishing his residency, now "Dr. Bob" leapt at the chance to serve as an ER doctor on the Kenai, which turned into a 25-year career.

In the mid-'90s, Dr. Bob, also an experienced pilot, began to live his dream of having his own fly-in fishing guide service – All Alaska Outdoors Lodge – near Soldotna, Alaska. Once in private practice, from June to September you'd find Dr. Bob flying and fishing, and sharing the secret spots he has discovered in his over three decades of flying over the Kenai Peninsula.

Now, every Friday night at 8:30 p.m. ET, Dr. Bob is sharing those secret spots on the Outdoor Channel.

Whether it's river fishing for sockeyes or big silvers (or one of the other salmon species of Southwest Alaska), or for rainbows, dolly varden or char; or lake-fishing for giant northern pike, lake trout and walleye; or heading onto the saltwater for halibut, ling cod and rockfish; or maybe even wingshooting for ducks, grouse or ptarmigan; Dr. Bob promises big fish and bigger adventures.

In the first episode of this season, Dr. Bob treats his family to one of his favorite fishing spots and has his hands full when big brown bears try to crash the party.

Tune in to Dr. Bob's Wild Diaries every Friday at 8:30 p.m. ET on Outdoor Channel.
