Position Overview

The Gunsmith Specialist plays a key role in firearm assembly, quality control, inspection, and production support. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain consistent quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

We are looking for a detail-oriented gunsmithing specialist to join our team. This role requires strong attention to detail, paired with excellent communication and organizational skills in order to maintain consistent quality expectations.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly, disassembly, fitting, and technical development of firearms and firearm components to precise specifications.
• Conduct detailed inspection of components received and identifying blemishes, dimensional issues, or functional defects prior to entering CNC production.
• Assist with or perform basic gunsmithing tasks, including fitting parts, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and ensuring proper function of actions, triggers, and safeties.
• Individually inspect each completed firearm for functional reliability, cosmetic quality, and overall craftsmanship prior to final approval.
• Document quality control results, including failures and corrective actions, and route both passed and failed units to the appropriate production stages.
• Maintain accurate records related to QC, production flow, and inventory tracking.
• As needed, assist with boxing and shipping firearms in a professional, presentation-ready condition.
• Support inventory cycle counts, parts organization, and materials management.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused production environment in compliance with company procedures and firearm safety standards.

Skills & Experience:

• Gunsmithing experience or formal training preferred (certification a plus).
• Working knowledge of firearm mechanics, components, and tolerances.
• Experience handling firearms safely and responsibly.
• Quality control and/or inventory control experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and resolve functional issues.
• Attention to detail, particularly with cosmetic finishes and mechanical fit.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures while maintaining consistent workmanship.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for documentation and team coordination.
• Comfortable working in a production or manufacturing environment.
