Team Mathews continued its strong 2026 competitive target season this past weekend at the Salt Lake Summit in Salt Lake City, Utah, highlighted by a dominant win from Kyle Douglas in the Compound Men's division.

Douglas secured the top spot after an impressive weekend of competition, adding another major victory to an already stellar season.

"I don't typically shoot many USAT events but decided to give it a go before Olympic trials to get into the swing of things," said Douglas. "I made a few mistakes early in the qualification round that I wasn't too thrilled with but managed to get things back together and somehow landed in the top spot. Eliminations went well and I was able to roll through matches all the way to gold. Good weekend for shooting some bows and arrows! Really happy with my setup and how things are shooting.

Fellow teammate Ace Coleman also delivered a strong performance, battling his way onto the podium with a third place finish in the highly competitive Men's field.

On the Women's side, Team Shooter Olivia Dean continued her breakout 2026 season by claiming third place in Compound Women, further cementing herself among the top competitors in the sport.

The Easton Foundations Salt Lake Summit served as the second stage of the 2026 USA Archery USAT Qualifier Series and featured many of the nation's top archers competing for podium finishes and qualification points toward the US Archery Team for World Cup Events

With multiple podium finishes in Salt Lake City, Team Mathews looks to secure more spots in the US Archery Team with the next event taking place at the SoCal Showdown, which runs from June 19-21 in Chula Vista.
