Lake Orion, MI — Bleecker Street Publications proudly announces that Megan Plete Postol, Lead Editor of Athlon Untamed, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Outdoor Writers Association of America (OWAA), one of the most respected organizations serving professional outdoor communicators.
Postol was officially elected to the board in June and will begin her three-year term following a virtual onboarding session and the organization's August 2026 board meeting in Madison, Wisconsin. Her election comes at a historic moment as OWAA celebrates its 100th anniversary.
An award-winning outdoor journalist with more than a decade of experience in outdoor media and communications, Postol has built a respected career covering hunting, fishing, trapping, conservation, and shooting sports. In addition to leading editorial operations at Athlon Untamed, her work has appeared in numerous prominent publications.
Postol also serves as the New York Ambassador for Artemis Sportswomen, a National Wildlife Federation initiative dedicated to advancing and mentoring women in hunting, angling, conservation, and outdoor recreation. Her previous leadership experience includes service on the boards of both the New York State Outdoor Writers Association and the New York Chapter of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers.
