Hook & Barrel Celebrates America's 250th with Medal of Honor Recipient Dakota Meyer on the Cover

Hook & Barrel Magazine®, The Lifestyle Magazine for Modern Outdoorsmen, announces its July/August 2026 "Celebrating America's 250th" issue, featuring Medal of Honor recipient Dakota Meyer. In the feature, Meyer discusses his time in the United States Marine Corps, his recent reenlistment, and the struggles and recovery journeys of U.S. veterans.

"When I asked Fox News' Johnny Joey Jones who should be on our July/August 2026 cover, without hesitation he answered, 'Dakota Meyer,'" said John Radzwilla, CEO and editor-in-chief of Hook & Barrel Magazine. "It's the perfect choice. Dakota represents something that has defined America for 250 years: answering the call to serve something bigger than yourself."

The issue also features Tim Montana's collaboration with the Crow Nation, WWII "Bombshells & Bombers" pin-up history, a rare behind-the-scenes look at "The $1M General" whitetail sheds, a Revolutionary War road trip, and more.

The July/August issue of Hook & Barrel Magazine will be available at participating outdoor retailers nationwide beginning the week of June 23, 2026, and is currently available for purchase online.
