HeadHunters NW Podcast Features Jack Jameson of BSF Barrels

From Retail Counters to Carbon Fiber Barrels: A 20-Year Journey to the Top of the Firearms Industry

In the latest episode of the HeadHunters NW Podcast, host Shaylene Keiner sits down with Jack Jameson of BSF Barrels (Blackstone Firearms) for a wide-ranging conversation about his 20-plus-year career in the firearms industry and how it prepared him for his current role helping lead sales for one of the industry's most innovative barrel manufacturers. The episode is available now on all major podcast platforms.

Jack's path into the firearms business started far from a factory floor. He began in retail at Lowe's before moving into corporate work at Bass Pro Shops. From there, he built a career steadily climbing the sales ranks of the industry: territory sales at Beretta, national accounts at Crimson Trace/AOB, a stint at Faxon Firearms, and eventually Vice President of Sales at Stag Arms and Aero Precision. Along the way, Jack says the constants that mattered most were relationship-building and deep product knowledge — lessons he carries with him at BSF Barrels today.

The episode also introduces listeners to BSF Barrels, founded in 2017 in Delavan, Wisconsin, by owner Aaron, who started the company after growing frustrated with long lead times from other barrel makers. BSF has built a strong OEM business supplying manufacturers such as Weatherby, Savage, and Henry, while also growing its direct-to-consumer and retailer sales. Jack walks through BSF's patented roll-wrapped carbon fiber barrel process, the company's expanding caliber range, and plans for new product lines in the months ahead.

Jack also shares news of BSF's new distribution partnership with Sports South, along with plans to expand the company's Delavan facility to keep up with growing demand. With that growth comes hiring needs across the company, and Jack extends an open invitation to industry professionals — and those looking to break into the industry — to reach out and learn more about opportunities at BSF Barrels.

Throughout the episode, Jack's own career serves as a case study in what's possible in the firearms industry: someone who started behind a retail counter and, through persistence, curiosity, and a commitment to building real relationships, worked his way up to a leadership role at a company on the cutting edge of barrel manufacturing.

"This industry rewards people who show up, build real relationships, and never stop learning about the product," said Jack Jameson. "I started in retail and worked my way through nearly every side of this business to get here. If you're thinking about a career in the firearms industry, or you're looking for your next move, I'd love to talk with you."
