Benelli USA mourns the passing of Steve Otway, former CEO and one of the most influential figures in the company's history in the United States. Otway passed away Sunday, August 23rd following a battle with Parkinson's disease.

Steve Otway was far more than a former CEO. He was a visionary leader and a true founding father of Benelli in America, helping establish the brand as a dominant force in the U.S. hunting and shooting markets.

His influence can be seen in some of the most important products and business decisions in Benelli's history. Among them was the development of the 3.5-inch Super Black Eagle, a revolutionary shotgun that helped redefine the semiautomatic shotgun market and became one of the most successful products in Benelli's history.

Otway was also the visionary behind Benelli's Direct-To-Dealer model, an innovative approach that strengthened relationships with independent dealers and brought the company closer to the people who sell and use its products.
