While the rest of the world is distracted by fall sports – GAME & FISH TV has your true obsession covered! Savor the "Taste of the Wild" every Monday from 6:00 – 11:30 p.m. ET:
Farming the Wild – English restaurateur and hunter Mike Robinson is one of Britain's most prominent game chefs, and he co-owns the only pub in London with a prestigious Michelin-star. Follow Robinson as he harvests the natural ingredients that make up some of his most famous dishes. An expert hunter and marksman, Robinson shares the many unique skills and techniques he uses to hunt the game he sustainably manages. As a chef, he also shares professional methods and tips to help viewers elevate their wild game cooking to truly Michelin-caliber, both at home and over their campfires.
McMillan – From hunting camp to farm and ranch, the McMillan Family is doing everything Country and bringing it all home to the table. A Kansas cattleman from the ripe age of 12, Host Tom McMillan went off to college on a rodeo scholarship but returned to ranch and eventually start his famous outfitting business. About a decade later he added TV to his list of trades, and he's now in Season 14 of the fan-favorite show, McMillan, featuring Tom, wife Jacque, and their young son, Gatlin. Last season, Tom and the family did everything from harvest sand hill plums to "shop" for elk, travel as a family for rodeo, and guide clients on unforgettable hunts for monster whitetail bucks.
Ranch America – Ranch America celebrates the cattle rancher, cowboy, and rodeo communities, as well as their working horses and cattle dogs. Join host River Klass as he saddles up with American ranchers who do whatever it takes to put the best beef on our dinner tables. In Season 3, the program visits the giant C-Punch Ranch in Nevada's high desert; gathers bulls with horses, cattle dogs and swamp buggies in South Florida with Justin Guerry; and learns about using GPS technology to track cattle at the South Fork Ranch along California's American River.
Cast Iron Cowboy – Kent and Shannon Rollins, along with their 1876 Chuck Wagon, visit some the most authentic cowboy ranches America has to offer. For over 30 years, their mission has remained unchanged: to feed hungry cowboys with hearty meals that define the region of each ranch. They make sure to keep the recipes simple and the food filling, because as Kent is fond of saying, "You can't get full on fancy." Last season, "Cowboy" Kent and Shannon Rollins made Wagon Wheel Steaks and Bread Pudding at the famous JA Ranch in the Texas Panhandle; they cooked up "Chicken Fried Steak and Mexican Chocolate Cake at the Stuart Ranch in Oklahoma; and at Nebraska's Circle L Ranch, they prepared Beef Enchiladas and Cowboy Cookies, and that's just a sampling.
Jason the Butcher – In this unscripted series, Host Jason Nauert trains both military and civilian interests on how to survive when the supply chain is compromised. Nauert has over 45 years of experience as a hunter, outdoorsman and butcher. The program highlights the strength, dedication and determination of America's military members and first responders as they meet a variety of challenging situations, from displaying survival skills in subzero weather to learning the methods that have been used to feed our soldiers and sailors since the Civil War. Count on Jason the Butcher to teach you everything you need to know for when the going gets tough.
Dead Meat – Produced and hosted by one of America's premiere wild game chefs, Scott Leysath, this program showcases the cooking of less commonly prepared wild game and fish, and even invasive species. Leysath has traveled the country hunting and cooking for more than two decades, and while he has worked alongside some of America's best-known chefs and restauranteurs, he is truly intrigued by what regular folks catch, trap, spear, or shoot and how they make best use of their harvests. During Season 9, Leysath heads to Alabama for nutria and wild hogs, Arizona for falcon-harvested rabbit and quail, Southeast Alaska to forage with a Tlinkit tribe member, and to deep South Texas to hunt his personal white whale, the chachalaca, and that's just the beginning.
Life on the Edge – This unscripted docuseries focuses on pioneering homesteaders and adventure seekers living off-grid in some of the most remote and inaccessible places, and in some of the most extreme conditions on Alaska's Aleutian Islands, where giant bears outnumber people 4:1. In Season 3, Pat and Connie Harvie battle the elements on their massive cattle ranch and look towards retirement; near Iliamna Lake, sled-dog racers Marina McGourty and Colter Barnes work to assemble an Iditarod dog team; and on Kodiak, wilderness hunting and fishing guide Nick Blanco renovates old buildings in a remote fishing village for later outfitter use.
