The PSSA Hall of Fame announced Team Krieghoff's Don Schaffer Jr.'s induction into the Hall of Fame. The official ceremony occurs on June 17th during the Pennsylvania State Trap Shoot in Elysburg, PA.
Well-known throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a top trap competitor, Don began shooting trap in 1985. Since then, he has registered over 250,000 targets.
Success came early to Don as he captured the Pennsylvania Junior State Singles titles and three Grand American trophies in his first two years of competition.
After taking a break from the sport to work on his family and run a business, Don picked up his K-80 again in 2007 and began a 15-year run of high-level performances, resulting in a 94% composite average. Don's skill and dedication to the game earned him spots on the Pennsylvania All-State Trapshooting Team and the ATA All-American Team.
Numerous Grand American, Satellite Grand, and Pennsylvania State championship trophies highlight Don's successful career. He achieved a milestone at the 2017 Autumn Grand with his first ATA Grand Slam.
