In Monday's Shooting Wire, our feature stated that professional shooter Maggie Reese lost a chance to win the Bianchi Cup due to a holster problem that prevented her from completing one of the four courses of fire. That, in a word, was incorrect. Maggie's problem was not with her holster, it was a problem with her sight system. Or as Maggie told us, "It was very much my optic that caused issues during the mover. Not holster, not gun, not ammo, just the optic. It was not resetting into position correctly when I was adjusting for leads." That explains why she was tapping the optic between runs, but it doesn't excuse the error. Our apologies to all concerned, including Maggie and Safariland and our readers. We don't like errors -especially when we make them.
