In a major development for the international ammunition industry, the Czech Republic-based Colt-CZ Group has acquired Sellier & Bellot. The transaction was signed on December 18th and is subject to regulatory approval in some countries. Colt-CZ purchased 100% of Sellier & Bellot from CBC Global Ammunition for a combination of cash and shares in Colt-CZ. As a result, CBC Global Ammunition will hold approximately 28% of the overall Colt-CZ Group shares, becoming its second-largest shareholder.

Importantly, the purchase agreement guarantees that Magtech USA will remain the exclusive distributor for Sellier & Bellot ammunition within the United States market. “Magtech USA will continue to represent, sell, and distribute the Sellier & Bellot line in the same manner as before. We anticipate no disruption in our standard operations,” said Troy Duerr, President of Magtech.

Colt-CZ, Sellier & Bellot, and Magtech USA are committed to an uninterrupted delivery of S&B ammunition along with the same high levels of sales and support customers expect from Magtech USA.
