SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – This episode, the No Lowballers podcast is joined by special guest Kyle Lamb, special forces veteran and Viking Tactics founder and president. He’s accompanied by John Snodgrass from Leupold Optics.

The pair bring their military experiences to bear on the newest riflescopes from Leupold, and Kyle discusses how the lessons learned by the armed forces come to make hunting optics better and better.

And we can’t talk optics without talking long-range, which John and Kyle share their thoughts on the impact technology, especially in sighting systems, has had on the sport. What was once a shot that took specialized gear and skill, is not considered a warm-up distance for many.

Finally, we can’t sit down with Kyle and not talk about his experiences in the Battle of Mogadishu. While optics were certainly a talking point, Kyle’s thoughts on battlefield medicine are a sobering reminder of how far we’ve advanced in both battlefield and real-world trauma care.
