NASP Academic Archer Program 2021 Equipment Winners

Throughout this 2020/2021 school year, NASP® educators and coaches have nominated and recognized the academic performance of their student archers using local criteria. At the close of the enrollment window on April 1st, 17,344 students were enrolled by their coaches as NASP® Academic Archers from 41 US states, 3 Canadian provinces, as well as from Africa!

From the beginning of the Academic Archer program, NASP® and Easton Technical Products annually have selected (10) registered Academic Archers. These students will receive a new Genesis bow and one dozen Easton 1820 arrows.

Carri Garrett of Easton Archery said, “Easton is proud to sponsor a program that is so beneficial in acknowledging the hard work that the NASP® students put forth in their education while enjoying the great sport of archery. Congratulations to all the 2020 Academic Archers!”

Tommy Floyd, NASP® President said, “We love the connection that educators are making between NASP® and success in the classroom. The Academic Archer program continues to be a great example of our efforts to support the value of promoting academics. We congratulate these winners and all NASP® Academic Archers for a job well done!”

NASP® would like to thank an unnamed generous sponsor who purchased the bows and, of course, Easton Archery for donating the arrows.

Academic Archer will open again on September 1, 2021 for the 2021/2022 school year. NASP® is hoping to see the number of nominations grow as the pandemic lessens its grip on school schedules! We want to send the strongest message possible about how teaching archery as part of the school curriculum is important to the mission of educators. Perhaps a qualifying student from your local school will be among the next year’s winners!
