Reports To: VP, Business Development
Purpose of Position: Responsible for all XS marketing, branding and image. Oversee the annual marketing plan, strategy, and budget. Manage the marketing team and external marketing resources. As a member of the Strategic Team, collaborate across the organization to drive sales and build brand awareness.
Essential Job Functions:
- Oversee and grow the marketing department by identifying revenue growth opportunities among established clients and by securing new accounts
- Develop and execute a multichannel marketing strategy and implement annual marketing budget to support established strategies and goals
- Manage all marketing and advertising activities to OEM, Wholesale, and Direct sales channels to support company goals for revenue growth and profitability
- Coordinate and attend industry trade shows to build effective business relationships with executive decision-makers throughout the firearms industry
- Research competitive trends to provide recommendations for effective advertising, product development, and channel insights to grow revenue
- Strengthen the XS brand image – internally and externally
- Create marketing reports for ownership and leadership team
- Direct and oversee the creation of all marketing materials for digital and print activities
- Manages XS Sights social media strategy, video productions, and sponsored events
- Maintains quality relationships with industry experts who support, endorse, or otherwise represent the XS Sights brand
- Assist with forecasts and tracks monthly marketing-related expenditures to stay within budget
- Supports the activities of the Sales team with marketing, advertising, and incentive ideas to stimulate better customer loyalty and sales growth
- Coordinates with other departments to anticipate the need for future marketing and advertising support activities
- Practice extreme leadership and grow the team's abilities
- Be an advocate to leadership / ownership for your team
- Supervise assigned team:
- Act as a line of communication between the team and ownership
- Meet the goals, objectives and deadlines set for your team
- Monitor the performance of individual team members
- Ensure that your team is abiding by the regulations set forth by the company and the government
- Onboard and train up your team
- Give feedback and evaluations to your team
- Allocate duties amongst your team
- Ensure all team’s required documentation is complete and accurate and on time
- Performs all other duties needed or required to support the growth of company sales and profits
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Meet or exceed productivity metrics / goals assigned
- Follow all safety processes and practices
- Perform all duties in accordance with all established quality and safety procedures/work instructions

Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least 10 years of marketing experience
- 6-Years of Experience in the Shooting Sports Industry
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- A customer focused attitude
- Strong drive for results
- Ability to analyze problems and create a solution
- Traditional and inbound marketing experience
- Ability to collaborate the with all departments and levels in the organization
- Superb interpersonal and organizational skills with extreme attention to detail
- Travel to represent the company at major trade shows and other events
- Per Federal Law and due to XS being a manufacturing facility in the firearms industry, all XS employees are required to legally be able to own a firearm, possess a firearm, or purchase a firearm
- Ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining all required work tasks and keeping management appraised of company metrics and goals
- Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Suite
Preferred Qualifications
- Retail box store experience as a supplier
- American Marketing Association: PCM Certification
- Digital Marketing Association: Certified Digital Marketing Professional
Work Environment:
Employee works in a typical machine shop environment and office environment. The office environment will remain gun friendly and gun safe. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, however some loud noises occasionally occur.
