Albuquerque, NM – - A federal court judge has ordered a temporary cease and desist prohibiting all sales of the Wide Open Trigger™ (“WOT”). This comes as part of a legal dispute between Rare Breed and Wide Open Enterprises, LLC around U.S. Patent No. 10,514,223 (“the ’223 patent”).
Wide Open Enterprises, LLC announced it will comply and temporarily discontinue its sales of the WOT while notifying the company’s resellers of the cease and desist.
"The cease and desist only temporarily prevents Wide Open Enterprises, LLC from selling and distributing the WOT,” said Douglas Rios, President. “We will not stand idle during the ongoing legal dispute with Rare Breed, and Wide Open Enterprises intends to fight this decision in a court of law.”
What this means for Wide Open Enterprises, LLC and Wide Open Trigger™ distributors:
Wide Open Enterprises, LLC is the designer and manufacturer of the revolutionary Wide Open Trigger (WOT). The WOT is the world’s first hard-reset trigger developed for the AR platform. With its patent-pending spring carrier system and Hardox™-reinforced steel hammer, the Wide Open Trigger™ (WOT) is the most reliable hard-reset trigger on the market guaranteed for 10,000 rounds or 12 months, whichever comes first.
