NRA Announces 2026 Y.E.S. Grand Scholarship Recipients

The National Rifle Association has awarded $15,000 in college scholarships to attendees of the 2025 NRA Youth Education Summit (Y.E.S.) through the Y.E.S. Grand Scholarship program.

At the conclusion of Y.E.S., a six-day educational experience in Washington, D.C., for high school students, participants have the opportunity to compete for Y.E.S. Grand Scholarship funding, which is paid directly to the accredited college or technical school of their choice. Over the course of ten months, students competing for the scholarship are challenged to introduce NRA programs into their communities and document their efforts through a comprehensive portfolio.

Recipients of the 2026 Y.E.S. Grand Scholarship organized and participated in a variety of initiatives promoting firearm safety, youth involvement in the shooting sports, and community engagement. Their projects included hosting Eddie Eagle GunSafe® events, starting NRA affiliated shooting clubs, delivering presentations about their Y.E.S. experience to community organizations, writing articles for school and local publications, and helping expand access to NRA Basic Rifle and Basic Pistol instruction in their areas.

"The Youth Education Summit has awarded more than $750,000 in college scholarships over its 29 year history," said Ashley Re, Director of Communications, NRA office of Advancement. "We are proud to support the next generation of competitive shooters, hunters, and firearms enthusiasts as they pursue their educational goals and continue serving as leaders within their communities."

Please join us in congratulating the 2026 Y.E.S. Grand Scholarship recipients:

$7,500 Kaitlyn Ware, Baxter, Iowa

$7,500 Sam Poulin, Scarborough, Maine
