Carroll, IA ‒ Volquartsen is proud to announce that team shooter Jenna Larsen delivered an incredible performance at the 2026 World Speed Shooting Championships, held May 27–31 at the CMP Marksmanship Park in Talladega, Alabama. Highlighted by a blistering time of 69.62 seconds, Larsen set a new Lady World Record in the Rimfire Pistol Iron (RFPI) division.
In her very first season shooting for Team Volquartsen, Larsen swept the leaderboard across multiple disciplines and secured a third-place overall finish among all competitors in RFPI.
Larsen's notable finishes from the Worlds include:
- New Lady World Record: Rimfire Pistol Iron (RFPI) — 69.62 seconds
- 1st Lady Finish: RFPI, RFPO (Rimfire Pistol Open), RFRO (Rimfire Rifle Open), RFRI (Rimfire Rifle Iron), and PCCO (Pistol Caliber Carbine Open)
- 3rd Place Overall: RFPI
"It was an incredible match on the world stage, focused on pushing ourselves beyond what we thought was possible," said Larsen.
Known throughout the competitive shooting community as "Braided Steel," Larsen's journey began in 2019 when she joined a local Scholastic Action Shooting Program (SASP) team. After graduating from the youth program in 2021, she quickly excelled in both Steel Challenge Shooting Association (SCSA) and Rimfire Challenge Shooting Association (RCSA).
Larsen is currently listed among the SCSA Top 20 Grand Masters, holds five GM rankings, and has previously claimed multiple Lady World Records and High Lady titles. Her performance in Talladega solidifies her position as one of the leading rimfire competitors in the world.
