MDT is expanding its XTN lineup with the Stalker Core Buttstock, a lightweight minimalist design, along with two single-hinge folding adapters that fold the rifle down for transport, plus a cheek riser and length-of-pull spacers for tuning fit. The lineup gives shooters building light, compact rifles a simple, upgradeable platform on the XTN interface.
Stalker Core Buttstock
The Stalker Core is a minimalist buttstock built for lightweight, compact rifle builds on the XTN interface. Its skeletonized design keeps weight low while staying rigid, and the narrow convex buttpad shoulders quickly with few snag points. It delivers a short length of pull, as low as 10.43 inches on an LSS GEN3 Remington 700 with the Short XTN interface, and accepts the Stalker Cheek Riser and LOP spacers for further customization.
Key Stalker Core Buttstock features include:
- XTN interface, compatible with all XTN chassis and MDT folding adapters

XTN-XTN and XTN-Picatinny Single-Hinge Folding Adapters
The Single-Hinge Folding Adapters let shooters add a folding buttstock to an XTN-compatible chassis, reducing the rifle's footprint for transport and storage. Both adapters fold the buttstock over the non-bolt side and accept any MDT buttstock with a male XTN interface, including the Stalker Core and the SRS-X and HNT families.
Key folding adapter features include:
- Single button-press folding with a 180 degree range
- Adjustable retention to tune folder tension
- Ambidextrous, configurable to fold on either side
- Steel construction with a black liquid-nitride finish
- Accepts any MDT buttstock with a male XTN interface
The XTN-XTN adapter mounts to any chassis with a female XTN interface and adds 1.13 inches of length of pull. The XTN-Picatinny adapter clamps onto a standard NATO/1913 Picatinny rail, including chassis and AR receivers, and adds 1.14 inches of length of pull.
Stalker Cheek Riser
The Stalker Cheek Riser adds adjustable cheek height and fore and aft position to the Stalker Core Buttstock. It installs in a low or high configuration and adjusts from 0.5 to 1 inch in height, giving shooters a repeatable cheek weld behind the optic.
Stalker Buttstock LOP Spacers
The Stalker Buttstock LOP Spacers extend length of pull on the Stalker Core Buttstock in machined half-inch increments, so shooters can match the stock to their frame and shooting position.
