Montana State Parks and Recreation Board to Meet September 22

HELENA – Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is seeking public comment on an agenda item that will go before the Montana State Parks and Recreation Board during its next meeting. The board will meet Tuesday, Sept. 22, at Montana WILD in Helena and virtually via Zoom starting at 10 a.m.

The board will take action on the Logan Public Shooting Range Easement Acquisition. FWP is proposing to acquire an approximately 86-acre easement from the Montana Department of Natural Resources & Conservation as a first step in the anticipated development of a formalized public shooting range. The proposed easement is located along the I-90 corridor, approximately 2 miles south of Logan.

Your voice matters in this process. The board is accepting public comment on meeting agenda items through Sept. 14. There are two ways to comment before the meeting:

Public comments will be accepted through Sept. 14 with final potential action at the Sept. 22 meeting.

Prefer to comment at the meeting?

A public comment opportunity will be offered during the meeting. In-person comments can be made at the meeting venue or at any FWP regional office throughout the state. Comments can also be made during the meeting virtually via Zoom. If you wish to comment via Zoom, you must register to comment. Registration for Zoom comment will open on Sept. 7 and close at noon on Sept. 21.
