Primary Arms Optics Opens Pre-Orders for New PLx 2.5-20x48 and PLx 4.5-36x56 Compact Precision Rifle Scopes with Cartridge Turret System

Primary Arms Optics has opened pre-orders for two new long-range scopes in its PLx Compact line: the PLx 2.5-20x48 and the PLx 4.5-36x56 FFP Compact Rifle Scopes, with shipping set to begin next month.

Both share the same extremely short PLxC design, first focal plane construction, 34mm main tube, and premium Extra-Low Dispersion (ED) glass. The 2.5-20x48 is optimized as a multi-purpose precision scope for shooters who need to move between medium- and long-distance engagements quickly. The 4.5-36x56 pushes higher into the magnification range for extreme long-range shooting where target identification and fine ranging are essential.

Optically, both scopes are positioned to compete with the best long-range optics on the market. The Japanese-manufactured ED glass and fully multi-coated lenses control chromatic aberration, hold color fidelity across the magnification range, and maintain edge-to-edge resolution at extreme distances. The internal optical design has been engineered around precision use, with attention to flatness of field, contrast, and a forgiving eye box that holds up at the magnification limit. Like the other PLxC scopes, these long-range optics are extremely compact, measuring only 11.5" for the 2.5-20x48 and 14.5" for the 4.5-36x56, making them among the shortest precision scopes available.

These scopes also introduce Primary Arms Optics' new Cartridge Turrets: a modular turret system that can be swapped for different styles of locks and stops. Cartridges install with basic tools, and the scope's mechanical zero is unaffected. By default, each scope includes an Easy Stop® elevation turret and a capped windage turret. Additional cartridges, including a variety of locking turret styles, will be available for purchase soon after release. Each turret is built with Steel-on-Steel (SOS®) adjustments. Where traditional brass internals tend to soften and degrade over time, Steel-on-Steel turrets stay crisp through the life of the scope.

Both scopes offer a selection of ACSS® precision MIL reticles, each suited to a different style of long-range work.

All three reticles include Daylight Bright® illumination and AutoLive® technology, which conserves battery when the rifle is in storage.

The PLx 2.5-20x48 and PLx 4.5-36x56 Compact Rifle Scopes are available for pre-order now at primaryarms.com and through authorized Primary Arms Optics dealers, with the first units shipping in September. Listed price for the 2.5-20x48 is $2299.99, while the 4.5-36x56 has a listed price of $2499.99. Pre-orders ship in the order they are received. Like all Primary Arms Optics, both include a lifetime warranty.
