Canik USA is proud to announce that the Canik Prime Radian has been awarded both Best New Handgun and Best New Overall Product honors at the 2026 NASGW-POMA Caliber Awards, presented during the NASGW Expo in Phoenix, Arizona. The awards recognize the most innovative new products introduced to the shooting sports industry and are judged by an independent panel of industry professionals representing both NASGW-POMA Caliber Awards partners, the National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers (NASGW) and the Professional Outdoor Media Association (POMA).

Selected from more than 100 new product entries across the firearms and outdoor industry, the Prime Radian stood out for its innovation, performance, value, and market impact. Following evaluation by a panel of 21 industry judges, the Prime Radian earned top honors not only in the handgun category but across all submitted products, securing the award for Best New Overall Product.

The Prime Radian represents a landmark collaboration between Canik USA and Radian Weapons, combining Canik's commitment to performance-driven firearms with Radian's renowned expertise in premium engineering, ergonomics, and innovation.

"We are incredibly honored and humbled to receive both the Best New Handgun and Best New Overall Product awards from NASGW and POMA," said Adam Ruonala, VP Sales & Marketing at Canik USA. "The Prime Radian is the result of countless hours of development, testing, and collaboration by dedicated teams who refused to compromise in the pursuit of excellence. Recognition from the industry's wholesalers, media professionals, and product experts is especially meaningful because it validates the vision and hard work that brought this platform to life."

"We're equally grateful to our partners at Radian Weapons, whose expertise and trust in us helped bring this vision to life right here in South Florida. This achievement reflects what is possible when two brands with a shared passion for performance and quality come together to push the boundaries of what's expected from a modern handgun."

Since its introduction, the Prime Radian has generated significant excitement among dealers, distributors, media, and consumers alike, embodying Canik's ongoing mission to deliver premium features, exceptional performance, and unmatched value to shooters of all disciplines.

"To be recognized alongside so many outstanding products introduced this year makes this honor even more meaningful," added Ruonala. "We sincerely thank NASGW, POMA, our distribution partners, and the shooting community for their continued support. Awards like these inspire us to keep innovating and raising the bar."

The 2026 NASGW-POMA Caliber Awards were presented during the NASGW Annual Appreciation Reception and Dinner on October 12 in Phoenix, Arizona. Alongside earning Best New Handgun, the Prime Radian was selected as the overall winner among all category champions, receiving the event's highest distinction as Best New Overall Product.
