Team Ruger's Lauryl Akenhead Earns Podium Finish at 2026 IPRF Centerfire World Championship

Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. (NYSE: RGR) is pleased to announce that Team Ruger's Lauryl Akenhead earned a third-place individual finish and assisted Team USA in capturing first place in the Ladies Team division at the 2026 IPRF Centerfire World Championship in Lipan, Texas. The international event brought leading precision rifle athletes together for 20 stages of demanding competition designed to test accuracy, consistency and the ability to perform from a variety of shooting positions.

Competing with her Ruger American® Rifle Generation II, Akenhead placed third in the Individual Lady category while simultaneously contributing to Team USA's championship result. Under the IPRF format, athletes compete for individual honors while their scores also count toward their national team, with the three highest athlete scores contributing to the team total. Akenhead's podium finish helped the U.S. Ladies Team secure the top overall team position.

The Ruger American Gen II builds on a bolt-action platform recognized for accuracy, durability and value. Key features of the Gen II design include a cold hammer-forged, threaded barrel; the Ruger Marksman Adjustable™ trigger, which offers a crisp release and a user-adjustable pull weight between three and five pounds; and the patented Power Bedding® integral bedding block system, which positively locates the receiver and free-floats the barrel to support consistent accuracy.

Akenhead's performance on the world stage highlights the Ruger American Gen II platform's capabilities in a highly competitive environment and reflects Team Ruger's continued commitment to supporting athletes competing at the highest levels of the shooting sports.
