SAF ‘2A FIRST RESPONDER’ TV CAMPAIGN ADDS 7TH WEEK AND MORE NETWORKS
BELLEVUE, WA – The Second Amendment Foundation’s well-received “2nd Amendment First Responder” campaign has been extended for an unprecedented seventh week, with our 60-second message scheduled to appear 89 more times, and more networks have been added to reach an even wider audience.
SAF founder and Executive Vice President Alan M. Gottlieb revealed today that he has added AMC, FX and the Comedy network to a lineup that already includes CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, Fox Business, One America News Network, Destination America, Bloomberg, BBC America, the Investigation Discovery Channel, American Heroes Channel, SYFY (Science Fiction), TLC (The Learning Channel), TruTV, DirecTV, The Weather Channel, HLN, Dish TV, CNBC, the Outdoor Channel and Sportsman Channel.
“We’re gratified at the overwhelming public response to our message,” said SAF founder and Executive Vice President Alan M. Gottlieb. “We’re maintaining a strong presence across more than a dozen networks. By the end of next week, our ad will have been viewed 528 times by tens of millions of viewers across the country.”
Over the past six weeks, SAF has added legions of new members and supporters, many of whom are people who bought a gun for the first time during the past 12 months. And, according to Gottlieb, approximately 40 percent of SAF’s new gun-owning supporters are women.
“What this surge in interest tells us is that Second Amendment activism is stronger than it has ever been,” Gottlieb said, “despite the highly-publicized legal and financial troubles now being faced by the National Rifle Association. Over the past few months, we’ve added more than 55,000 new supporters, and that number goes up every day.
“That’s exactly what the ‘2nd Amendment First Responder project set out to do,” he explained. “Our mission is to energize grassroots activists across the United States. With their support, we can advance SAF’s educational and legal actions, challenging unconstitutional laws and regulations in courtrooms all over the country.
“Our job is to provide intellectual ammunition to grassroots activists so we can ultimately win the Second Amendment debate, and secure our right to keep and bear arms for generations to come,” Gottlieb concluded.
