Krieghoff Congratulates Olympic Silver Medalist Kayle Browning

Kayle Browning’s Olympic dream began when she broke her first clay target at the age of nine. At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Kayle’s dream became a reality when she won the Silver Medal in Women’s Trap.

Twenty years ago, Kayle’s father – and national sporting clays champion – Tommy Browning introduced her to the sport and coached her every step of the way. Valuable words of advice spoken by her father -telling Kayle to never give up and to keep fighting no matter what - came into play as she faced daunting challenges during the Olympics. Starting Day 2 of qualifications in ninth place, Kayle fought her way to the sixth – and final position – that would head into the finals. Kayle dropped three out of her first four targets in the women’s trap final, but with her father’s words echoing in her head, Kayle broke the next nineteen targets straight. The Arkansas native clinched the Silver Medal just one target shy of the Gold.

“Everybody in the Krieghoff organization is thrilled about Kayle’s Silver Medal,” says Alex Diehl, Krieghoff International COO. “She has been pursuing her dream since she was 15 years old and every day of it with a Krieghoff K-80 in her hands. Kaylee had to overcome a lot of adversity in her shooting career and in life. She has the strength, willpower and determination of a true champion and has proven that with this amazing success. We are extremely blessed to have Kayle on our team. She is a true inspiration and a beacon of determination and performance.”

Kayle’s Silver Medal enters the record book as the highest medal won in U.S. in Women’s Trap since its addition as an Olympic Sport in 2000. Referring to her Silver medal as ‘the pinnacle of her career”, we at Krieghoff have every confidence that Kayle is poised to scale even higher heights in the future.

The entire Krieghoff organization congratulates Kayle on her confidence, determination and skill that helped the United States raise the flag in Women’s Trap.
